Outpatient Program (OP)

Outpatient Program (OP)

Addiction, by its very nature, distorts thinking and causes the individual’s to continuously justify and defend their drinking and/or drug use, despite the problems it may be causing. While in the grips of their addiction, and as they endure compulsions, even extreme cravings to use, the mind of the alcoholic and/or addict attempts to persuade the individual that they do not need treatment. So cunning and powerful is this obsession, that it will often convince the individual that they have no time for addiction treatment.

Often, when people think of addiction treatment, they imagine a residential treatment facility, where they will be away from family, work, school, friends, and even their cell phones for anywhere from 30 to 90 days. However, this is not always the case and Outpatient treatment may be an appropriate option for many individuals.  Ebb Tide Treatment Centers‘ Outpatient Program is intended to work around the client’s schedule, so they can take care of their responsibilities while still getting the appropriate, high quality addiction treatment they deserve.

Who Benefits from an Outpatient Program?

Addiction can often convince individuals that their lives are under control and that they do not need any help. Maybe they are still working, going to school, or have their families and other relationships intact. It is possible that they have yet to suffer legal or financial consequences. However, this notion that they are in control is a delusion. For anyone who has lost the ability to truly control their drinking or drug use, it is only a matter of time before they begin to have health issues, career consequences and problems with relationships. Addiction treatment is the best way to help someone begin to regain control of their life.

In our Outpatient Program, we are often helping people who are still in the early stages of their recovery. These clients may have work and other responsibilities to attend while they receive addiction treatment. Oftentimes, people in Outpatient Treatment are stepping down from a more intensive, higher level of care, and it is appropriate for them to continue treatment on an outpatient basis. Experience has shown us that the longer an individual continues in our treatment programs and remains a part of or support network, the greater the opportunity for long term recovery.  At Ebb Tide, our Outpatient Program is also perfect for individuals who provide financial support to others and need to work, while still receiving high quality addiction treatment and support. If an individual is seeking treatment, but is going to school or is possibly a caretaker for someone, this program will work well. There are options and Ebb Tide is here to help.

Getting Treated in Outpatient

When a client attends the outpatient level of care, we will work around the individual’s schedule. Once we assess the person’s treatment needs, we will create a treatment plan to suit that client’s circumstances. Outpatient clients typically come to Ebb Tide for one to three days a week for individual and group therapy, receiving Evidence Based Treatment (EBT), participating in educational groups where they will learn more about the disease of addiction and relapse prevention, and continuing to build a foundation in 12-Step and/or other support networks.

Ebb Tide Treatment Centers are here to provide individuals and families with the help they need to overcome addiction to drugs or alcohol, as well as other co-occurring disorders. We have a dedicated staff who want to help people live the life that they deserve, without having to worry about relapse after discharge.  Call Ebb Tide Treatment Centers today at 844-430-4357 and let’s talk about how our outpatient program can help.
