Our Approach

Recovery is what happens after the drugs are gone.

Most treatment centers stop at "clean and sober." We don't. Getting alcohol and drugs out of your system is the first step — but it's not the work. The work is figuring out what was underneath the using, learning to live without the thing that was numbing it, and building a life that doesn't need to be escaped from.

Getting sober is where treatment ends. Getting well is where life begins.

That's what "bridging the gap" means to us. Our gender-specific facilities, individualized care plans, and multiple recovery pathways — 12-Step, SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery — exist to give you a way through that part. The hard part. The part that comes after.

What recovery can look like.

Common Questions

What you might want to know.

Do you accept Medicaid?
Yes. Florida Medicaid is accepted at Ebb Tide for qualifying programs. We can verify your coverage in about two minutes — call us or use the form on this page. Most people are surprised by how much their insurance covers.
What does getting admitted actually look like?
A confidential phone call with our admissions team, an insurance verification, and a brief clinical assessment. If we're a good fit, we can often arrange admission within 24–48 hours. If we're not the right fit, we'll help you find a place that is — no pressure, no runaround.
Are your programs gender-specific?
Yes. Our residential facility and program groups are gender-specific. We've found that this helps clients focus on their own recovery without the distractions that mixed-gender environments can create in early sobriety.
Do I have to do 12-Step?
No. We're not a 12-Step-only program. Clients are introduced to 12-Step, SMART Recovery, and Refuge Recovery, then supported in finding the path that actually resonates. Recovery isn't one-size-fits-all, and we don't pretend it is.
What happens after I leave treatment?
Discharge isn't the end of the relationship. We provide aftercare planning, step-down outpatient programs, and connections to recovery community in West Palm Beach and beyond. Leaving treatment is the beginning — we take that seriously.
Is the facility actually on the water?
Yes. Our two West Palm Beach facilities (48 beds at 350 W Pine and 22 beds at 802 N Federal) provide a calm, livable environment. The setting matters — being somewhere that feels restorative makes the hard work more possible.
