When the crash keeps bringing you back.

Cocaine use disorder is different from opioid addiction in one critical way: there's no physical withdrawal that's medically dangerous. But the psychological withdrawal — the crash, the inability to feel pleasure or motivation after the drug stops — is severe enough that relapse happens almost automatically without active treatment. People don't relapse on cocaine because they're weak. They relapse because the brain, temporarily, has no other way to feel okay.

In South Florida, cocaine remains one of the most commonly treated substances. The drug is highly accessible, the binge-crash cycle can continue for months or years, and the consequences often accumulate slowly — financial, relational, professional — before they become impossible to ignore. Our clinical team has extensive experience treating cocaine use disorder across all its presentations.

How We Treat It

Cocaine treatment at Ebb Tide.

No detox required. Cocaine withdrawal is not medically dangerous. If you've recently stopped using, you may be able to step directly into PHP or IOP without a formal detox stay. Call us to assess where you are — we can typically determine fit within a short phone conversation.

Cocaine treatment at Ebb Tide centers heavily on CBT — identifying the specific situations, emotions, and environments that trigger use, and building the internal toolkit to navigate them without the drug. This work is detailed and sometimes uncomfortable. It's also the work that sticks. Patterns that drove cocaine use for years don't change through insight alone; they change through consistent behavioral practice.

For many cocaine clients, IOP is the right level of care — intensive enough to create real change, structured enough to maintain accountability, and flexible enough to begin rebuilding work and family life. PHP is available for clients who need more containment in early recovery. We assess each person honestly. Florida Medicaid is accepted for qualifying programs.
